Sober Living
For Women
Located just a few miles from Downtown Austin, our women’s sober living home offers a haven for guidance, accountability and support to cultivate long-term sobriety.
A roomy, 3,000 square-feet duplex allows a seven member maximum for each unit, with 2-3 members per room (private rooms upon request/availability) and 2.5 bathrooms in each living area.
Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis with a one-time fee, and amenities like a spacious backyard, ample fridge, pantry and closet space and an on-location gym ensure a comfortable stay while our coaches and house managers work together to help residents navigate life in recovery.
House Expectations
-
Above All
Be willing to work a recovery program with a sponsor/ mentor. Be willing to live an active lifestyle. Have a desire to stay sober and make progress in recovery.
-
House Meetings
Residents attend a mandatory, house-wide meeting each week with the house manager, leadership and care team to check in on accountability and expectations, go over SMART goals for the week, and adjust support as-needed.
-
Wake-Up and Curfew
Structured wake-up hours are maintained by all house members, while curfew hours are based on a client’s progress within our three phases. Beds must be made by 8 a.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. on the weekends. Overnight passes may be granted beginning in phase 2, with request at least 48 hours in advance.
-
Drug Testing
Clients are required to submit to urinalysis and breathalyzer tests twice per week; one scheduled and one random. Lab tests may be ordered as needed to confirm positive results or disputes.
-
Coaching Sessions
All members attend Active Recovery Coaching sessions.
-
Employment, Service Work or School
Within the first 30 days, clients must obtain employment, enroll in education or begin service work for a minimum of 15 hours per week. Extensions are determined by staff, with resources or assistance provided as needed.
-
Chores
Assigned by the house manager, each house member is required to complete their designated chore(s) each week.
-
Clean Living
Members are expected to keep their rooms clean and orderly and maintain personal hygiene, including making one’s bed upon awakening, keeping clothing organized and out of view, washing sheets and clothes on a regular basis, etc.
-
Recovery Hours
Residents must complete between 7-10 “recovery hours” each week, including activities that contribute to growth and healing such as recovery meetings, therapy, meetings with sponsors, coaching, sober events and more.
